Ms. Kylie McGlincy

Kylie McGlincy is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Music Education. She is in her second year as a Graduate Assistant within the Troy University Bands. After serving one year as the Administrative GA, she now serves as Logistics GA. She works with the “Sound of the South” Marching Band and is an assistant conductor of the Troy University Campus Band, Concert Bands, and Symphony Band. In addition to her assistant duties, Kylie also plays horn in the Troy University Symphony Band.
In 2014, Kylie graduated with a Bachelors degree in Music Education from Troy University. She was a member of the “Sound of the South” Marching Band, Football Pep Band, Basketball Pep Band, Symphony Band, and Horn Studio. She held several positions in the Troy University School of Music as an undergraduate student, including: Assistant/Head Music Librarian, Secretary/Treasurer of the “Sound of the South” and Mellophone Section Leader. She was the 2013 “Sound of the South” Outstanding Senior, and she also received the John M. Long Achievement Award in 2014.
Kylie’s professional affiliations include: the National Association for Music Educators, Alabama Music Educators Association, the National Education Association, the Alabama Education Association, and Tau Beta Sigma – National Honorary Band Sorority.
