2:00 CONCERT BAND (spring semester)

The Campus Band, 1:00 Concert Band, and 2:00 Concert Band is open to all instrumentalists on campus without audition and performs up to two concerts during the semester. Students in the various concert bands represent most all majors from across campus, and it provides rich opportunities for music education majors to expand their skills and expertise on secondary instruments. Each of these concert bands explores and performs the finest in band literature, from the cornerstones of band music to more contemporary music to outstanding transcriptions of standard orchestral literature to medleys of popular songs, movies and Broadway shows. Additionally, this ensemble provides a laboratory environment for undergraduate and graduate conducting students who are preparing for future careers as band directors.
